Our Mission
Our mission is to teach, train, and equip followers of Christ and future leaders of the kingdom of God. We teach the word of God to be learned and understood, but more importantly, to be applied in every person's life. We strive to reach everyone no matter the current state they are in. Whether lost, backslidden, non-believer, or believer, we aim to reach you wherever you are.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be an effective ministry that reaches all people regardless of cultural background, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. We are committed to sharing the life-changing truth of God's Word so that it becomes active and effective in the lives of those we encounter.
We envision a ministry that impacts our community through compassionate service and biblical discipleship. Our purpose is to teach the knowledge, wisdom, and principles of Scripture, equipping believers to grow and mature spiritually and walk in obedience to Christ.
We are dedicated to teaching the uncompromising truth of God's Word, making disciples who are not merely hearers of the Word, but doers and applicators of the Word in their daily lives. Through sound biblical teaching, spiritual development, and much prayer, we seek to raise up mature believers who reflect the character of Christ and advance the Kingdom of God in every aspect of their lives.

Our
History
Lake City COGBF History
Lake City Church of God was established as a mission church in 1997 with a vision to share the Gospel and serve the Lake City community. Through the faithfulness of its founding members and God's continued blessings, the ministry began laying a foundation for future growth.
In October 1998, the mission secured its first rented facility, providing a dedicated place for worship and ministry. The first regular worship service was held in December 1998, with ten faithful attendees gathering to worship and seek the Lord together.
As the ministry continued to grow, God opened new doors for expansion. On July 23, 2001, Lake City Church of God purchased more than three acres of property with the vision of building a permanent church home for the congregation and future generations.
A new chapter in the church's history began in 2024 when Elder Andre Sanders was assigned as Associate Pastor under the leadership of the District Superintendent. During this season, Elder Sanders received and implemented a renewed vision for the ministry, launching a capital campaign focused on funding the construction of a new sanctuary to meet the needs of a growing congregation and community.
Later that year, in December 2024, the Executive Council appointed Elder Sanders as Interim Pastor. Since that appointment, Pastor Sanders has faithfully led Lake City Church of God By Faith, continuing to pursue the vision God placed upon his heart while guiding the church toward a future of spiritual growth, community impact, and expanded ministry opportunities.
Today, Lake City Church of God By Faith remains committed to its mission of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, serving the community, and building a strong foundation of faith for generations to come.
